Alachua County Local Business Tax to be Repealed on October, 1st 2019.

Important notice for business owners in the unincorporated area of Alachua County: The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners passed an ordinance to repeal the Alachua County local business tax beginning October 1, 2019. If you have a business within the city limits of Gainesville or another municipality, you will still need to purchase a business tax receipt from that municipality if required to do so.
