The Tax Collector’s Office mailed out newly redesigned Registration Renewal Notices today. According to John Power, Tax Collector, the design will reflect the office’s Mission to serve the public with innovation and fiscal responsibility.
“We redesigned this document in-house to save taxpayer dollars and to make it more appealing to the eye of the customer,” said Power. “We want your renewal to be clean, modern, and easily understood. I’m really proud of our team for making these changes and modernizing this form.”
The updated renewals will reflect the office’s new brand and logo. Registration Notices are sent out in the month prior to the owner’s birth month.

The Tax Collector’s Office announced today that it has launched a new website and brand identity. According to the Tax Collector’s Director of Technology and Organizational Development, Shane Sapp, the site more closely reflects the culture and direction of the organization.
“This new website demonstrates our dedication to our mission, vision, and values. It is more than a website launch, it’s the unveiling of a whole new brand identity for us,” said Sapp, “We want the public to know that we are not just a ‘typical’ government agency. We are innovative, we value professionalism, and we want to reach beyond the preconceived notions about government and provide an experience online and in-person that is second to none.”
The site displays a modern, clean, and organized look while expanding on the information provided to the public. It also features a responsive design which allows for customers on mobile devices and desktop computers alike to share the same experience.
“We are incredibly proud of this new site and our brand identity,” Sapp commented, “This is truly state-of-the-art, and we couldn’t be more excited!”
The Alachua County Tax Collector’s Office raised almost $9000 in this year’s United Way Campaign, a new record for the organization. “We had incredible support this year, and came up with a new and innovative fundraising campaign to really get our staff involved,” said Linda Power, Human Resources Administrator.
The $8,955 raised this year by the organization is a $1,100 increase from last year, and a $2,500 increase from 2012.
