The Tax Collector’s Office will be closed on December 25th & 26th and Jan 1st. Wishing you a happy and safe holiday!
Our staff donated food and volunteered their time to help Strike Out Hunger in Alachua County. Through employee donations we were able to provide 1,018 pounds of food to the local food pantries and also provide those less fortunate than ourselves with a Thanksgiving basket! Many thanks to The Long Foundation, Inc. for organizing this annual event for our community. Happy Thanksgiving!
The Tax Collector’s Office will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday and Friday, November 23rd and 24th. We will re-open on Monday, November 27th, during our normal office hours.
The Alachua County Tax Collector’s office is now issuing the new state of Florida driver license and ID cards. Each office became equipped with the ability to issue the new cards as of November 9th. The new, more secure cards provides Floridians the most secure over-the-counter credential on the market today. By the end of December 2017, the new cards will be available at all service centers throughout Florida and online. Previous driver license and ID cards will still be in use alongside the new cards until replaced or phased out.
For more information and details on the new cards you may visit the state of Florida’s website here: https://www.flhsmv.gov/driver-licenses-id-cards/newdl/
