We are Now Partnering with All Florida Safety Institute!

We are now partnering with All Florida Safety Institute, a state contracted third party administrator authorized by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). This option may be suitable for students who need practice, need a same day appointment, or a Saturday appointment.  Please note, licensees will return to the Tax Collector’s office to process their license upon satisfactory completion of their exam.

All Florida Safety Institute is an additional option and provides the following:

  • Business hours and after-hours testing, including Saturdays
  • Same day testing appointments
  • Drivers License tests, written and road skills (fees apply)
  • Practice tests (fees apply)
  • A vehicle for testing (fees apply)
  • Testing results uploaded immediately upon completion to the FLHSMV

*Fees charged by AFSI are separate from the cost of the driver license.

DHS Extends Real ID Enforcement Deadline to May 3, 2023

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced that it is extending the REAL ID full enforcement by 19-months from October 1, 2021 to May 3, 2023 due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.   See Department of Homeland Security Press Release here.
