Tax Collector Team Donates 142 lbs. to Local Food Drive

The Alachua County Tax Collector’s Office partnered with other county and city agencies, participated in the 2016 Strike Out Hunger Food Drive sponsored by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission of Florida.  The Tax Collector team donated 142 lbs. of non-perishable food items which will go to local food banks and families in need this holiday season.

John Power, Tax Collector, pictured above with Rodney Long, President of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission of Florida also donated – in partnership with Campus Subway – lunch to all the volunteers working to sort food donations at the Alachua County Fair Grounds.
