Driver License – Non-U.S. Citizens (Nonimmigrants)

Individuals applying for a Florida Driver License or Identification Card must electronically submit the following documents through the link below: 

1. Provide Proof of Identity, Legal Presence & Residence

  • Scan original documents, in color, front-and-back, that meet the requirements of the federal Real ID Act and Florida Laws.  
  • TWO proofs of residential address. For acceptable address documents click here.  

2. Provide proof of Social Security if you are in a work status classification

  • Social Security card 
  • W-2 form (hand-written not acceptable) 
  • Paycheck stub (hand-written not acceptable) 
  • SSA-1099, or non-SSA-1099 (hand-written not acceptable) 
  • Self-Certification (Self Certification Form is Available Here) – Please note that the social security number must verify through the Social Security Administration system. 
  • If you are a non-immigrant in a work status classification, you must provide a social security number or a letter from the Social Security Administration stating you are not eligible to obtain a social security number.
